Kansas City · coached barbell classes · est. 2017

Strong is a skill.
We teach it.

Twelve lifters, one coach, real barbells. No mirrors maze, no machine circuit, no shame about an empty bar — everyone's started with one.

// Asked at the chalk bucket

I've never touched a barbell. Can I start here?

Yes — that's what Foundations is for: a 4-week, twice-a-week on-ramp ($120) that teaches the squat, hinge, press, and pull from an empty bar. Half our members started exactly there. Strong is a skill, and skills are taught.

How much does membership cost?

Unlimited is $89/month — every class plus open-platform hours — with no contract and 30 days' notice to cancel. A 10-pack is $150, drop-ins are $18, and your first week is free if you live in KC.

How big are classes?

Capped at 12 lifters per coach, hard cap. Every session you get warm-up review, your working sets watched, and at least one cue that's actually about you. That cap is the whole product.

Is there cardio equipment?

Rowers, sleds, bikes, and a turf strip — used inside programming. There is no treadmill theater and no machine circuit. If you want that, the big-box up the street is genuinely better at it.

What are open-platform hours?

Weekdays 11am–4pm and after the last class until 8pm, members lift their own programming on any free platform. A coach is always on the floor; form checks are free, unsolicited advice is rationed.

How does the free intro week work?

Show up to any class — 6am, noon, or evening — say it's your first week, and train free for seven days. No card, no contract conversation until you ask for one. KC locals only; visiting lifters drop in for $18.

Week one is on us.

Pick any class on the schedule and walk in — 1417 Anvilside Ave, Kansas City. Say it's your first week. That's the entire signup process. Questions first? (816) 555-0182 or lift@forgestrength.example.
