A small espresso bar on Lanternwick Street: beans roasted in the back every Tuesday, pastries from the bakery two doors down, and a machine that goes quiet at 3:45 so the last shot of the day is still a good one.

What are Driftwire's hours?
7am to 4pm, every single day — weekends and most holidays included. The machine goes quiet at 3:45 so the last shots aren't rushed.
Do you sell your beans?
Yes — we roast every Tuesday in the back. Two espresso blends and two single origins, $17–$19 per 12oz bag, ground to order or whole. Tuesday afternoon bags are about as fresh as coffee legally gets.
Is there wifi and can I work there?
Wifi is free and laptops are welcome at the long table and the window bar until 2pm. After 2 the whole room is fair game. The four-top by the plants is conversation-only, always — it's the best seat and it's earned it.
Do you have food?
Pastries from Gilded Crust Bakery land at 7am — croissants, morning buns, and a seasonal danish, $3.75–$5.25. They sell out by 11 most days; we won't apologize for that and neither will they.
Is there a loyalty program?
The tenth drink is free, tracked on a paper card with a rubber stamp shaped like a lighthouse. No app, no account, no notifications. Lose the card and plead your case; we're reasonable people.
Can I order ahead?
Call (401) 555-0136 and we'll have it on the rail — honest answer though, the line moves faster than the phone. Whole-bean orders for pickup are the exception: call ahead and we'll grind and bag before you arrive.
